Just a quick post today to show you my scrappy herringbone blocks for my month in our bee. These are the ones I have made for myself to demonstrate my colours. I am asking for whites, blacks, greys and one colour story per block... mostly because I can never commit to one colour, so I didn't LOL.
Five lovely bee members will each make me six blocks... I can hardly wait to see what they come up with!
As well, 10% off in my Etsy store for the next little while with the coupon code GIVEME10.
these are really freaking cute! i've seen quite a few herringbone blocks around lately, and while i like them (<3 anything chevron!), they feel like they'd be super busy for a full quilt.
ReplyDeletebetween the greys and the way you're sticking to one colourway per block, your versions look SO much better! they feel modern and fresh, and an entire quilt out of them wouldn't be overwhelming at all. i'm kinda jealous of them, actually....
I saw the lovely George and Gracie wallhanging you made for Barbara at Cat Patches and wanted to let you know how much I like it. I love the little details that make it special.
ReplyDeleteThese are great blocks. What a fun quilt they will make.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these blocks and what a great quilt they will make and I can't wait to see the rest of the blocks and then the whole quilt.

gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat block. I love that you chose black and white and one color. It's going to look so great once you have everyone's blocks. Lovely.
