Yippee!! April finishes :)

This month I was actually finished both of my goals by halfway through the month... I really love having this linky party to keep me on track!

If you remember, I needed to finish a market bag for a swap as well as I wanted to add a new baby quilt to my store.

A Lovely Year of Finishes

I made the bag using 10" squares of Echino I got in a swap... love!

The lining is a deep purple linen I bought a couple of years ago.

This is the baby quilt I made for my shop. Fairly simple quilting but I love it :) I did all-machine sewing for the binding as it is being sold. I did a fair job LOL... lot's more practice coming up! And to prove that I listed it, here it is :) https://www.etsy.com/listing/129369113/beautiful-baby-crib-quilt?ref=shop_home_active

I am linking up to the party, so come and join the fun!!

small changes

So I decided to change a few things about the look of the blog, hope you like them :) I also decided to have the blog be named LethargicLass since that is it's web address as well as my on-line name for over 20 years now...

And because this is a boring administrative post, you get a picture of Opie!

Lucky you - another giveaway!!

I am very excited to be hosting a giveaway for my friend Cheryl. I met Cheryl after I bought one of her designs and she asked me if I would like to go over future patterns and let her know what I thought of them... are you kidding me? I love doing it LOL! I'm going to let Cheryl tell you all about herself now.

My name is Cheryl and I live in Greenville, South Carolina with my two children (a little boy who is 5 years old and in kindergarten and a little girl who is 3 (and loves playing with my fabrics almost as much as I do)), husband, dog, and a cat. When my daughter was a toddler she needed a quilt for her crib. I had always wanted to try quilting so with the help of hours spent learning through blogs, I made my first quilt and have not stopped quilting since then.
I have a degree in chemical engineering and part time as a patent agent for a private company that makes specialty textiles, chemicals, and carpeting. In my job I work with inventors to figure out what their inventions are, draft patent applications, and then fight to the patents to issue in the US and all around the world. I love math and technical writing which is why I think that drafting quilt patterns is one of the most enjoyable parts of quilting to me. I recently joined the Greenville modern quilt guild and the Foothills traditional quilt guild and am loving having interaction with other quilters and also spend a lot of time reading quilt blogs.
I have an etsy store (www.MeadowMistDesigns.etsy.com) selling my quilt designs and sewing accessories.  To celebrate the launch of my newest two patterns I am having a celebration sale.  All patterns are on sale for $6 from the normal $8, a 3 pack of patterns is on sale for $15, and I am offering free shipping on all sewing accessories from April 7th-17th.

Cheryl has decided that she would like to offer two of you, PDF copies of both of her new designs.
The Quilt in the Hat

Charming

Cheryl's patterns are very clear, thorough and just plain fun to make. I think you will love them as much as I do!

How to win? I would like you to visit Cheryl's store and let me know what you like best. To ensure that you actually went, please leave the link of the item in your comment :) This giveaway will end on Friday night (April 12) and I will announce the winner on Saturday! Good luck!!

April... what to finish for April...

For April I am going to set two goals...

One - finish this baby quilt and get it in the shop

That involves white stripes between each layer, basting (yuck), quilting and binding. Then listing it in the shop.

Two - Finish this Market bag I am making for a swap... it is so close to done, I don't know why I am procrastinating LOL!

I need to attach the piping (probably the black), make the lining, and sew it in... simple!

I am linking up to the A Lovely Year of Finishes Goal Setting Party for April! (phew, say *that* ten times fast LOL)
