I have been sewing a storm up lately and I thought I would share with you some of the amazing patterns I have been using.
These are the Pepper Coasters from my friend Ayumi’s terrific book, Patchwork Please! I have been planning on making them for quite awhile and am not sure why I waited… they were fun and quick!
Here I decided to increase the pattern by 175%, added some insul-brite batting and made hot pads
These slippers are also a pattern by Ayumi and you can find the pattern on the Interweave site here. Ayumi has such a great sense of fun and style and her patterns are clear and easy to follow. I would definitely look her up if you don’t know her. She has a blog called Pink Penguin. She has been busy lately raising her sweet daughter Honoka, one of my favourite babies, and has just released her first fabric line!
This tote is the latest pattern by Erin of Dog Under My Desk and it is called the Outta Time Tote. Erin’s patterns always seem to take me a bit longer, but the results are always 100% professional looking! She really knows her stuff. And she just moved all the way to Australia from the US to be with her honey and I am sure any support of her shop would be welcome amidst all the chaos!
Hope you enjoyed these and will check these two talented ladies out!
You are so sweet Katy! I am very honored someone so talented like you enjoy my patterns. You truly make them look so much better!
ReplyDeleteI have to check out Erin! Your bag looks so cute!
Love those slippers, what did you use for the non slip soles? I am wondering about making them as Christmas gifts this year.
