I have been wanting to make some statement pieces that people can look at and say “That’s by LethargicLass”. Maybe not quite Chanel, but close :) I also wanted to make something that was 100% my own pattern, where I didn’t have to search to find if I had permission to sell, something that was mine.I also wanted something that had a little something extra. I decided on leather. I had never sewn with it before but decided it couldn’t be that hard… and I was right! I also have been collecting fabrics over the years knowing that one day they would become pouches, finally I am able to use them! These are extra large project bags. Perfect for bringing your EPP project to wine night at the friend’s house, or to bring your sketchbook to the coffee shop. They have an outside zip pocket, the main zipped interior, as well as a slip pocket on the inside. They are a generous 12” x 12” so can fit quite a bit!I find the leather adds structure while also making this a standout piece. I have six listed in my shop at this moment and plan to add some more in the next little while. Let me know what you think!
What a great pattern! It seems so functional and versatile. I bet you could also fold it in half and use it as a clutch.
ReplyDeleteAnd in case I haven't mentioned it before, you have a wonderful eye for fabric.
