*GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*
Today marks the start of another amazing Quilter's Blog Hop Party! After you leave here check out the link for a whole bunch more giveaways :)
I'll share some photos on things I have been working on lately. Mostly they are small items as I have a craft show coming up this coming Saturday.
These are just some small key chains. I like having something small and affordable for little kids to buy for their parents, babysitters etc. Plus, they are great for using up small scraps of fabric and batting!
These are sets of mini facecloths, good for a quick nighttime cleaning.
And these are some more tea towels (before I stitched them down)
But now... you want the giveaway!!!! Here you go!
FIVE half yards of Patty Young, Textured Basics!!
All you have to do is let me know if you name your sewing machine(s) and if so, what are their names? Mine are Jennie Janome and Pfilomena Pfaff. I won't include you if you ignore my question, and/or if you are a no-reply blogger! I will announce the winner on November 26th :)
Now go forth and enter many more giveaways!!
Eee I love your fabric giveaway selection - YUM! My sewing machine is a Toyota and he is called Mr Toyota! Not very original but it suits him as he looks like he is from the 1970's/1980's - all cream, brown and orange!
ReplyDelete"Bernie" has been my faithful friend since 1996. He is a Bernina 1080 and I wouldn't give him up for anything! Thanks for a chance at those lovely fabrics!
ReplyDeleteBonnie and Bitsy and Bertha, are all of the Brother family - Fern Featherweight joined the clan last year.
ReplyDeleteMy machine is a Viking Ruby and her name is her majesty -- it was going to be Dorothy but her temperament at times is bratty and entitled so she got the name her majesty instead. I also have a traveling machine (Hello Kitty) called baby Jade
ReplyDeleteI have an Elna, but I really don't have a name for her. Love your giveaway, thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteThe giveaway fabrics are awesome - love the colours in that line!
ReplyDeleteI haven't named my sewing machine, but I don't like it very much, so maybe that's why! I don't know why I don't like it, except that it's incredibly basic and I want more space for quilting in it, but it keeps on chugging, so I can't justify getting rid of it to buy something new. I'd probably like it better if it'd just finally break down and quit working! (My phone is named Babette, after the artificial intelligence character in the tv version of jPod, so I'm not totally averse to naming the machinery in my life.)
clumsy.chord(at)gmail.com
My Horizon is named Renny (The Fox) because it's red. My new travel machine, a Magnolia, doesn't have a name yet.
ReplyDeleteI have not named my sewing machine. Just not something i do.

ReplyDeleteI have not named my Janome. I always remember the brand because it starts with the first letter of my name. Thanks for the opportunity. Love your projects.
ReplyDeleteNo, my sewing machines haven't got names. There are far too many of them, and they are all older than me, so it would be a bit impertinent on my part.
ReplyDeleteBerneenee Bernina, Jenny Janome and Fannie Featherweight. My SUV is Elvira...dressed in black and big headlights, Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI don't name my sewing machines. But one says "Janome" on it and one says "Tin Lizzie" so I guess they were already named when I got them!

ReplyDeleteWhat a generous and fabulous prize. My berninas are Lucy, Willie and Sparky. My longarm is Pete! Not sure why most of them are boys. Maybe it's the way they behave at times.
ReplyDeleteLike someone else said, I guess the first name of both of them is "My". When we got the 2nd machine, my husband asked if I was going to get rid of the first one...what a goofy question! That is "MY" machine, the first one I bought with MY very own money and it will be with me forever. If my family were to name her they would probably call her the Mom-Napper, because she definitely causes me to disappear on a regular basis and neglect my duties as a wife, mom, cook, etc :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't named any of my machines yet, but they do get sent to the corner when they don't behave :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
WHOA! Look at all of your commentors! I like the idea that you have things for little kids to get their parents. I have named my machines, but I can't remember what the names of the FW's are (guess you can tell how much I call them by their names, LOL!) Alyssa bought the first one, so I will say her name is Joy because that's Lyss's middle name and the other is something that means green cos she is... it was a stone. I think it was Celadine. My new one is Jerrica Janome... I do call her that. I love your giveaway, but you don't have to include me... I just wanted to comment. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't yet! But I named my 2 clarinets in HS. Clarie and Woodie (bc he was made of wood). Thanks for the chance to win :) (and the reminder to come up with the perfect name!) ksmith8@emich.edu
ReplyDeleteI always think about naming them ... sometimes I never get around to settle on a name .. it's just "granny's machine" mum's and mine and then we have the work horse (a huge industrial one that needs a special electric connection so i doubt it will move in with me anytime soon)... mum's and mine stay with me all the time .. so yeah my sewing amchiens are named after the former owners ... so I bet my mum does not know of her luck of being the ex-owner, I guess there will be some talk about returning it at some point ... they are all Pfaffs so staying with the brand name won't help much .. it's frustrating. I think one of them will be named Olga at one point but I can't decide which one .. so for now I will stay with granny's mum's and mine and not to forget the work horse...
ReplyDeleteI have two Janomes, neither of which has a name - how sad! Actually, I'm hoping to win a Lucey in the APQS giveaway, so I was thinking I should name the Janomes "L" names as well. My Janome MC 6000 would probably be Lena after my mother since it was her machine. Haven't thought of a name for the other one yet.
ReplyDeleteYummy giveaway fabrics - thank you! I have Mr. Juki (2010Q), Julia (Juki F600) and and Pfannie (Pfaff Quiltstyle). A year ago I just had my Pfaff with no name, but I figure multiples needed names. My 2010Q is so rugged he was all man right from the first stitch and I am "sew" in love with him!
ReplyDeleteMy Viking is named Helga - we spend a lot of time together!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I have named my cars, but not my machines. How about Benita Bernina and heather featherweight? Probably not real original, but it was off th cuff.
ReplyDeleteI haven't named mu sewing machine, but perhaps I should! It seems like a popular thing to do. :)
ReplyDeleteMine don't have names, I'm afraid. Thanks for the chance for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I actually never thought about naming it. I guess it's a her. She's a Huskystar so maybe Helga. She's husky and strong and that's awesome! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteI have a Janome that's 3 years new . Looks line I need to think of a name for her.
