One thing I had been craving from my sewing machine was blanket stitch... I just love the way it looks, and finally I have been able to use it!
This is one of the appliques tea towels I am making for my Christmas show/store. In addition to blanket stitch, she is so quiet it is unreal! And her lights are so bright, as well as having speed control and needle down! I am in pure sewing bliss :)
A good quality sewing machine makes all the difference, doesn't it? Congratulations on your purchase - I'm sure you will get many, many hours of pleasure from her.
ReplyDeleteThis April I upgraded from a 1980's singer to a bernina and it was life changing. Your towel looks great!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Congrats!
ReplyDeletelol in one sentence you highlighted all the things I wish my sewing machine had! :D I'm so happy you're enjoying it!!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to love that blanket stitch for applique. Looks like a great little machine. I got a Pfaff for my DIL a few years ago, and she loves it.
ReplyDeleteYou go GURLZ! ;) FanTAStico! It looks great! That's the very thing I am wanting in a new machine. Lee Monroe aka MayChappell has a pattern of the most adorable circus animals to machine applique on a child's blankie... I tried it with my old fart Bernette and it just wasn't a pretty zagitty zig. If you need some really cute animal appliques, give her pattern a looksie. I am SO happy for you! A good sewing tool is a marvelous thing! :D

ReplyDeleteLovely! There is something to be said for some fun bells and whistles.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to love it!! And no more blanket stitch envy:)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're loving the new machine! I've never tried a Pfaff so I'm curious to hear about all your adventures with it...
