Hello!! I hope you all remember my friend Cheryl from the last time I reviewed a pattern of hers. Well Cheryl has a new pattern out called Arrows All Around.
Not only is this pattern fun and easy, Cheryl has written some seriously amazing pattern add-ons! Not only does she give you the pattern for three different sizes, she gives you a break-down of how to use all of your pre-cuts for this!! You can use all charm squares, or jelly roll strips, or layer cakes, and then... she even tells you have to mix and match them!!
When I first read this pattern I was giddy with excitement! I have *SO* many pre-cuts... and I also have *SO* many partial pre-cuts... this to me is the best thing to happen to pattern-writing since sliced bread!! (pay no attention to my poor comparison there lol)
I am uber busy nowadays so I knew I wouldn't be able to get a whole quilt done, but I did make a cushion cover and her steps were beyond easy to follow. I haven't quilted it yet, but once again, uber busy.
Cheryl has generously donated one pattern to give away free!! To enter, tell me in the comments all about your pre-cuts situation... for instance, I have 7 jelly rolls, 4 layer cakes, 9 mini candy packs and something around 200 million charm packs!!
I will close the giveaway and announce a winner Saturday morning when I get up... so get your entries in soon!!
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful review my quilty friend :)
ReplyDeleteI have an entire bin of charm packs, mostly from swaps. No layer cakes, no jelly rolls.
ReplyDeleteWell I just counted - 1 white jelly roll, 1 off-white jelly roll, 1 layer cake, several 5" charms and lots of 2.5" squares (I try to cut them as I sew from each fabric for my one day in the future 'scrap-vomit quilt) LOVE those arrows :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started quilting 4 years ago, I used precuts exclusively! Nowadays, I rarely buy precuts, but still have some in a bin somewhere! lol! This is a great pattern, and thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI only have 6 charm packs and two mini charms, but have lots of FQ's. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have 6 charm packs and 1 layer cake. Not sure what to do with them though! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletePrecuts are not that popular in Australia! I have one layer cake of DS that an American friend sent me!
ReplyDeletei don't buy precuts that much. i have a couple of charm packs that were a gift. i also have a few layer cakes but i always break them apart and store them with my regular stash. cute pattern!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute! I have several charm packs and a layer cake...all won in giveaways...but I haven't done anything with them. Not sure how to use them.
ReplyDeleteI have 11 charm packs and 2 jelly rolls, no layer cakes. Thanks for the chance to win this cute pattern.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt pattern. I have one jelly roll...and probably 6-8 charm packs. I won the jelly roll, which is the only reason I have one. =) Thanks for a lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern. The only pre-cuts I have around right now are the scraps that I've pre-cut for using some day - almost all 2 1/2" strips, I find them the most useful.
ReplyDeleteOh my..my pre-cut situation is very sad right now..I have 3 Charms and 1/2 Layer cake and a couple candy ones floating around somewhere..I think its time to go shopping again:)
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern! I have one set of charms that i won and thats it. I haven't bought any precuts because i have a "i will use it all up" phobia. if i buy 1/2 yards i will always have more of my favorites for another project. Now... scrap precuts... I have bins of 2 1/2 in strips, and squares in different sizes! I always need projects to use my scraps!
ReplyDeleteLovely pattern. I don't have too many precuts -- just 5 jelly rolls and about 4 charm packs.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS PATTERN! And I am gonna get it one way or another! Thanks for posting it and all of the great info about it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pattern! I'm down to 2 jelly rolls, and 15 million charm packs.
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern!! Sadly, I cannot use precuts. Due to allergies I must prewash my fabrics... so no precuts for me.
ReplyDeleteI would love to make this pattern, regardless! Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Um, I excitedly downloaded the pattern in case I wanted to sew it on retreat. *blushes* But hey, I just want to say how amazing it was to talk to you yesterday!! Well, after my "who's calling from Canada?" moment. So glad you like your prezzie! And any time you need a southern accent 'fix', I'm your girl! :D
