The Last of the Gifts

Just wanted to share a couple more gifts I made. 

First are the finished pouches for my work family.

This is a pouch I made for my Mom using a beautiful cross stitch her best friend sent me.

Quilty Resolutions 2017

I have three quilty resolutions for this coming year.

1) A quilt top a month (minimum) for Victoria's Quilts. They provide quilts to those in cancer care. 

2) Have at least two more patterns published 

3) Take better photos, with more of a sense of background and light sources

I already finished a quilt top today and here it is (note: number 3 has not happened here lol)

A first for everything!

I finally get to share my exciting news that I have a pattern published!!

It is in Issue 14 of Make Modern that is out now. Make Modern is an Australian quilting magazine that is online only. It has consistently produced innovative and fun issues and I am so blessed to share in some of it.

My friend Monika pattern tested for me and she made fabulous colour choices!
 

 I hope I will see some new versions around the web soon enough, maybe even from one of you!

Christmas cheer

 

I made some ornaments to deliver with cards to my neighbourhood family. I used a tutorial found here and then tied a string around to create a hanger.

I love the colours of the Blueberry Park fabrics but did find them a bit thick to work with, something to consider.
 
 

All Jen Kingwell, all the time

Starting in January I will be running a Jen Kingwell club at work. We'll meet once a month and people can work on whichever pattern they like. Fabric swaps will be encouraged and I am so looking forward to seeing what everyone makes!
