Tattooed

I was able to help my friend Libs make a quilt top with her new fabric line Tattooed.
I chose this pattern out of three choices and it is pretty hard to send it back to her.
Sadly my lighting isn't very good in my entry hall but you get the idea. It was 320 HSTs and a whole lot of fun!

Various little things

I have been sewing lately, I just haven't completed anything yet, but here are some photos.
Here are some half-rectangle-triangles I have been playing with.
These are some blocks for a top I am sewing for Libs Elliott. I can hardly wait to show you the finished top!

Something for me

I have been needing a new bag for awhile now and have had the fabrics picked and waiting for the right pattern. My last three purses were the same pattern and I wanted to try something new.
This is a free pattern and I whipped the whole thing up in less than three hours. It is a little small but hopefully I will get used to it as I love my fabrics! You can find the pattern here.

The Last of the Gifts

Just wanted to share a couple more gifts I made.
First are the finished pouches for my work family.

You'll notice a higher quality of photo #quiltyresolutions2017.

This is a pouch I made for my Mom using a beautiful cross stitch her best friend sent me.

See you soon!

Quilty Resolutions 2017

I have three quilty resolutions for this coming year.

1) A quilt top a month (minimum) for Victoria's Quilts. They provide quilts to those in cancer care.

2) Have at least two more patterns published

3) Take better photos, with more of a sense of background and light sources

I already finished a quilt top today and here it is (note: number 3 has not happened here lol)

A first for everything!

I finally get to share my exciting news that I have a pattern published!!
It is in Issue 14 of Make Modern that is out now. Make Modern is an Australian quilting magazine that is online only. It has consistently produced innovative and fun issues and I am so blessed to share in some of it.
My friend Monika pattern tested for me and she made fabulous colour choices!

I hope I will see some new versions around the web soon enough, maybe even from one of you!
